You are right Deandre, UI can have a HUGE impact on things such as awareness;
can you clearly see what Debuffs you have?
can you clearly see the green crap on the ground?

but also addons to manage things like dot uptimes are only gonna help

short answer no. I only got a handful of people sign the petition, definately not enough to pressure Telstra.

An update though, I heard through my ISP (Adam) that Telstra have been implementing ’shaping’ on high bandwidth users. If things have slowed to a crawl it may be that either you were doing a lot of downloads or you have been mis-identified as a high volume user. Contact Internode and they can raise it with Telstra.

They did say however that if they raise too many tickets with Telstra they may (telstra this is) chose to just stop your service

The good news is Adam Internet will be working on WiMax that will be available in mawsan lakes in the next couple of months, this will get reliable 3mb connections! winner!

Hey Chris, did you get anywhere with the Petition? I’ve been ranting at Internode for years about my ever worsening so-called ADSL. Evenings are now reduced to simple surfing – no videos or large downloads!

I will not kid around about the importance of your UI working for you and not against. I rebuilt my UI and switched my buttons around and literally saw a 700 DPS jump on my Boomkin.

There should not be any reason why it wouldnt work having 2 PCs connected to wow, but you will have to try it, I dont have 2 wow accounts so hard for me too

If you wanted to be connecting to different servers you would need to create multiple socat instances, one for each server.

I use this as well, it works well.

You will never get NO latency, if you understand what these fixes are doing you are not actually reducing the connection time to the server. But what you are doing is telling windows to not wait for the response prior to sending the next. You will always have the latency especially when running in Australia etc.

I have had better results using my unix solution simply because the unix Network Stack is much more efficient than windows but whatever works for you

I guess the next question will be if we used both methods would they work in harmony and provide almost nil latency?
Ie, Home Server for lowering ping + Leatrix for increasing the frequency of TCP traffic???

Whoa, i will definetley give this bad boy a try tonite when i get home!!
That kind of latency reduction would make my life as a healer a great deal easier. The idea behind it seems so simple im amazed no-one has done it earlier???
Now, how to get out of work early today?? ;p
